Iceland Day 1

Next to and fed by a geothermal power plant, the Blue Lagoon is colored by algae. They claim it as one of the 25 wonders of the world. A relaxing time and perfect for a jet-lagged day, we did not take our cameras or iPhones into the don’t-wear-your-jewelry drink. Others did, we kept waiting for one to be dunked, but didn’t see it happen. These pics are outside the spa.

On the road back to Reykjavik. In last night’s twilight the hay-colored moss almost looked like dirty snow.

Reykjavik has lots of statues.

And a pond.

And a penis museum. Sunday night, we’re hitting the road in the AM, no time, too bad!

City Center. Note the entrance to the parking garage which is the stairwell in the water. Wished it was open to walk around the relief map.
